The fine water-repellent fabric - Storm is a hydrophobic polyester that stands out for its exquisite design. This fabric is adorned with a vibrant and colorful heart print that evokes a romantic 60s feel, capturing the essence of love in a lively visual format. Its multicolor palette allows for versatility in combinations, being ideal for mixing with solid colors such as pure white, deep black, or even pastel shades like pale pink and sky blue. This fabric is printed with the patterned design on one side only using digital textile printing, ensuring that the reverse remains plain and free from print interference.
Among the general characteristics of the fabric, its waterproof finish and its thin, smooth texture provide both functionality and comfort. The fabric is lightweight, making it suitable for a variety of climates, especially for use during the winter season. The printed design, for its part, is not only aesthetically attractive but also stands out for its durability, thanks to sublimation technology, which allows colors to integrate permanently into the fabric fibers, resulting in a bright and vibrant finish that does not fade easily.
The applications and uses of the fabric are truly extensive. It is perfect for both mens and womens fashion, being used in jackets and raincoats, which makes it an ideal option for outdoor activities where rain protection is essential. In addition, its versatility extends to home textiles, being used in shower curtains, kitchen cushions, and bed protectors, as well as in outdoor decoration for patios. This combination of functionality and style makes it a valuable resource in current textile design.
Regarding the care that should be taken for this fabric, it is important to follow a series of guidelines that will ensure its durability. Bleaching should be avoided, wash it at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and dry cleaning is not allowed. When ironing, it is recommended to use low temperature and never use a dryer, as this can damage the polyester fibers and the waterproof treatment.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation, a process that allows ink to be transferred to polyester fibers at high temperatures. During this process, the ink turns into gas, penetrating the material instead of simply adhering to its surface, resulting in a print that is an integral part of the fabric. This not only guarantees excellent design quality but also provides excellent durability and resistance against abrasion and washing, keeping the colors vibrant and the design in perfect condition for much longer.
