The Lycra Polyester fabric - Nairobi, weighing 270 gr/m2, features a printed design that combines artistic and natural elements, reflecting a vintage aesthetic with illustrations of fruits like pumpkins and plants, highlighting its ecru, mint, dark red, and algae green colors, which create a vibrant and harmonious palette. To complement this design, it can be paired with solid colors such as white, black, navy blue, or soft shades like beige and grey, which enhance the vibrancy of the print. It should be noted that the fabric is printed with the design on one side only using a digital textile printing technique, ensuring precise and high-quality reproduction, and is not a double-sided printed fabric.
In terms of general characteristics, Lycra fabric offers an elastic and soft texture, ideal for garments that require a snug and comfortable fit. Its chlorine-resistant finish makes it an ideal option for applications in aquatic environments, while the UPF finish provides very high UV protection (50+), making it perfect for outdoor activities under the sun. The composition of 82% polyester and 18% elastane allows the fabric to recover its original shape after stretching, making it especially suitable for products that require high elasticity and durability.
Regarding its applications, this type of fabric is versatile and used in a wide range of products such as lingerie, bodysuits, swimsuits, bikinis, leotards, and leggings, with applications in both sportswear and swimwear. Its ability to adapt to the body, along with UV protection and chlorine resistance, places this fabric at the top of options for designers and brands looking for functionality and style. Leotards and leggings, for example, are ideal for sports activities that require freedom of movement, while swimsuits and bikinis offer an exceptional aesthetic for recreational use.
To maintain the quality of the fabric, it is essential to follow certain care guidelines: it should not be bleached, should be washed at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and is suitable for dry cleaning except for trichloroethylene. Additionally, it is recommended to iron at a cool temperature and not to tumble dry, which ensures the longevity of the fabric and the vibrancy of the printed design.
The manufacturing of this fabric is done using sublimation printing technology, which allows high-quality graphics to be transferred onto polyester fabrics. This process involves the inks turning into gas and integrating into the fibers of the fabric, providing a durable print that does not peel or wear easily, which is ideal for garments that require frequent washing. This technique ensures that the design maintains its color intensity and quality over time, turning each piece into a unique and attractive item.
