The base fabric is a bi-elastic twill called Lisboa, composed of 97% polyester and 3% elastane, with a rough yet soft texture to the touch and an elasticity that makes it adaptable to different shapes and movements. This fabric has a weight of 209 gr/m2 and a width of 150 cm. Its printed design features a visual complexity that combines star shapes in a vibrant and multicolored array that captures attention.
The star-printed design can be interpreted as a nod to contemporary and urban fashion, as stars are a decorative element used in the aesthetic of many clothing designers. The attributes of the design – complex, colorful, and star shapes – connect with the very nature of the bi-elastic Lisboa twill, which is a versatile and resistant type of fabric that adapts to different uses.
The main colors of the design are multicolor, suggesting it can be combined with more neutral shades like white, black, or grey, as well as with more intense hues from the color wheel, such as blues, oranges, or yellows.
It is important to note that the fabric is printed with the design on one side only using digital textile printing, meaning it is a single-sided print. This printing technique combines the advantages of digitalization with the quality and durability of the fabric, providing a high-quality and resistant textile.
The fabrics attributes, such as its rough yet soft texture, its weight, elasticity, and its printed design, are ideal for use in various applications such as fashion, home, and outdoor decoration. In fashion, the bi-elastic Lisboa twill is used for pants, skirts, accessories, jeans, and dresses, while in the home decor sphere, it is applied to cushions, cloths, napkins, and embroidery hoops.
Regarding the care instructions for this fabric, it is recommended not to bleach it and to wash at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. It is suitable for dry cleaning except with trichloroethylene, and should be ironed at a cool temperature. It is not suitable for tumble drying.
The printing technology used to design this fabric is sublimation, which involves printing the design onto transfer paper with sublimation pigment-based ink, which is then transferred to the fabric through heat and pressure. This achieves a high-definition print with intricate details and vibrant colors that do not fade with use or washing.
