Lycra Polyester fabric - Cairo is an elastic fabric with a weight of 220 gr/m2 and a composition of 90% POLYESTER and the remaining 10% ELASTANE. It has a width of 150 cm and can be used in multiple applications such as sportswear, lingerie, fashion, bikinis, swimsuits, among others. The printed design applied to this fabric features a modern style and very simple complexity, with multi-colored circles and polka dots.
The design covering this fabric is printed on one side using sublimation printing technology. It is important to note that due to these characteristics, it is not possible to obtain a fabric printed on both sides. Regarding its general properties, its soft and elastic texture stands out, as well as its chlorine-resistant finish and a very high UV protection factor of 50+.
As for the applications and uses of the fabric, in addition to those mentioned above, it can be used for making bras, tops, bodysuits, and knitted garments. Its use is also recommended for scrunchies, as its elastic properties allow it to adapt well to this type of accessory.
To maintain the quality of this fabric, it is advisable to avoid bleaching and use a maximum washing temperature of 40ºC. In addition, it is recommended to iron at a cool temperature and avoid exposure to a tumble dryer.
The printing technology used for Lycra Polyester - Cairo is sublimation. This printing process is carried out by transferring ink from a solid surface to the fabric through a process of heat and pressure. Sublimation technology allows for the production of fabrics with highly defined designs, great durability, and fade resistance. It is a highly recommended option for making sportswear and swimwear due to its technical characteristics.
