The fabric in question is the Punto Roma Elástico - Lyon, a knit fabric composed mainly of polyester and elastane, weighing 282 gr/m2. Its name refers to the knit weaving technology used in its manufacturing, giving it an elasticity that makes it very comfortable for womens and mens fashion garments such as tops, t-shirts, trousers, dresses, and jumpers. In addition, it can also be used in home textiles, specifically for dining napkins. Its printed design combines wavy shapes and lines in a very simple decorative style, evoking the aquatic nature of the sea in multicoloured tones. This combination perfectly complements plain fabrics in dark blue, pearl grey, or off-white shades. It is important to note that the fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side only.
Both the fabric and the printed design have several characteristics that make them unique. As for the fabric, it has a soft texture and a pleasant feel that makes it very comfortable to wear. The printed design, on the other hand, is characterised by its very simple decorative style and by the wavy shapes and lines that compose it, inspired by the aquatic nature of the sea. In addition, its multicoloured range makes it very versatile when combining with other plain fabrics.
Regarding the applications and uses of the fabric, as we have already mentioned, it is ideal for making womens and mens fashion garments such as tops, t-shirts, trousers, dresses, and jumpers, as well as for dining napkins. Thanks to its elasticity, it adapts perfectly to the body, providing great comfort.
As for care, it is recommended to wash the fabric at a maximum temperature of 30ºC and not to use bleaching products. It can be ironed at low temperature, and dry cleaning is allowed, as long as trichloroethylene is not used. Finally, the printing technology used in the manufacturing of this fabric is sublimation, which is based on the transformation of ink from a solid state to a vapor state without passing through the liquid state, allowing it to permanently and high-quality adhere to the fabric.
