Recycled Lycra fabric is an elastic fabric weighing 190 gr/m2, composed of 85% polyester and 15% elastane, with a width of 150 cm. This fabric, which has GRS certification and is sustainable due to being recycled, is printed with a very simple pattern design that evokes water and the ocean with waves and crystalline water in multi-colored tones framed in a tropical and marine style.
This design, printed with sublimation technology, is found only on one side of the fabric, has a chlorine-resistant finish, and a very high UV protection factor of 50+. Its texture is soft and elastic, which adds to the general characteristics of the base fabric, which are also soft and elastic.
Recycled Lycra is ideal for creating swimwear such as bikinis and swimsuits, as well as scrunchies, expanding its applications for general beachwear.
To maintain the quality of the fabric, it is recommended to wash at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, without the use of bleach and without allowing dry cleaning or tumble drying. In addition, it should be ironed at a cool temperature.
Recycled Lycra fabric is manufactured using sublimation printing technology, which allows the printed design to be permanently fixed to the fabric. This process consists of applying the design printed on transfer paper onto the hot fabric, which causes the design to transfer and penetrate the fibers of the fabric. This technique guarantees the durability of the design on the fabrics surface and prevents it from wearing out or fading easily.
Regarding solid color combinations with this fabric, solid colors that highlight the multi-colored tones of the printed design can be used, such as navy blue, aqua green, and soft yellow, for example.
