The 220 gr/m2 Polyester Lycra fabric - Cairo is an elastic fabric with a soft touch and a very pleasant texture. Its abstract, complex, decorative, and illustrative printed design features a series of very vivid and vibrant color spots that make it perfect for sportswear, lingerie, swimwear, and fashion for women, men, and children. The design can be combined with plain solid colors such as black, white, pink, green, and blue.
It is important to note that this fabric is digitally printed with the design on one side only, meaning that the plain fabric without the pattern can be seen on the back. Regarding the general characteristics of the fabric, we can highlight that it is chlorine-resistant and offers very high UV protection, a very important factor in sportswear and swimsuits.
Furthermore, this type of fabric is perfect for applications and uses such as sportswear, lingerie, tops, knitwear, bikinis, swimsuits, bras, scrunchies, and even casual wear. Its weight of 220 gr/m2 and its composition of 90% polyester and 10% elastane make it ideal for garments that are close-fitting or require elasticity.
For the care of this fabric, it is important to note that it should not be bleached or tumble dried. It accepts dry cleaning except for trichloroethylene and should be ironed at a cool temperature.
Finally, the printing technology used to manufacture this fabric is sublimation (polyester), which allows for a durable and resistant result in the printed design. This process consists of transferring ink from a special paper called transfer paper to the fabric using heat and pressure, which causes the ink to go from a solid to a gaseous state without passing through a liquid state, resulting in a print with excellent definition and quality.
