Glasgow broadcloth fabric is a strong and warm fabric, with a composition of 93% polyester, 5% viscose, and 2% elastane. Its weight of 380 gr/m2 and width of 150 cm make it ideal for outerwear such as coats, trench coats, jackets, and blazers. In addition, its soft texture also allows its use in home textiles, such as coasters or kitchen towels.
The printed design of this fabric is characterized by a very simple complexity and a marine and tropical theme. With wavy shapes and water-related motifs, such as the ocean and crystal clear water, this multi-colored print brings freshness and vitality to any garment or accessory. In addition, it can be combined with solid colors such as beige, military green, or navy blue to create sophisticated and elegant styles.
This fabric is printed with the design on one side by digital textile printing, which makes it easier to work with and manipulate in its manufacture. The general characteristics of this fabric are its softness to the touch and its resistance and durability, which makes it a versatile fabric suitable for multiple uses.
On the other hand, the applications and uses of the base fabric are varied, among them are fabrics for altars, common use in ceremonies and religious acts, and the making of outerwear for winter and autumn/winter. In addition, its resistance to washing and ironing makes it an optimal option for home textiles, such as coasters or kitchen towels.
To keep this fabric in perfect condition, a series of care instructions must be followed, such as a maximum washing temperature of 40° C, do not use bleach or dry cleaning, and do not tumble dry. It is recommended to iron at a warm temperature to avoid damaging the fibers of the fabric.
The printing technology used for the design of this fabric is sublimation, which consists of printing the design on special paper and then transferring it to the fabric using heat and pressure. This method guarantees the fixation of the colors and the image on the fabric, without leaving annoying residues or marks on the surface of the printed fabric.
